Get more teachers to teach kids about their local sayur, this Merdeka
We’re excited to share some special news just in time for Merdeka. We’ve been at it hard over the past year, fundraising and working with our partners on this, and we are proud to finally launch our Teacher + Kids: Pilot Programme.
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
This pilot programme is open to local Primary School Teachers, who will nominate 5 of their own students to take part as well. The programme will include:
1 x Teacher’s workshop
6 x Monthly Kids’ Kits, sent to each nominated student
1 x Guidebook with worksheets to journey through the various stages of growing local vegetables together
+ 5 nominated students per teacher
WHO IS THIS PROGRAMME FOR?
The main aim is to equip teachers with the tools to get their students to experience growing their own vegetables, in order to foster an appreciation for their vegetables in the long term.
This pilot programme is FREE for successful teacher applicants, and has been made possible with the help of UNICEF, the Penjana SIM Grant, and kind individuals who have funded this programme directly:
• Ai Goto/ CHANGE Education Fund
• Albert Lim
• Shanaz Stephen
• Jac Ying Wong
— Thank you for making this all possible!
